Department of Service & Municipal Affairs
The Department of Service and Municipal Affairs contracted Strathdee&Company to develop and coordinate 13 announcements and events across the province over a six week period. The majority of the announcements involved working with two or three levels of government, coordinating the event logistics, developing media materials, preparing an event scenario, talking points and speeches for the Minister, Deputy Minister or department representative.
Rural Transportation Association
The Rural Transportation Association (RTA) – The overall objective of the project was to develop, design and launch a website and strategic marketing and communications plan, and associated materials, to raise awareness of RTA, its 14 members, and the transportation service it provides to rural Nova Scotians.
Colibri Software
Strathdee & Company was contracted by Colibri Software to develop a marketing and communications plan for the software development company located on campus at Acadia University. The contract included facilitating a staff session to develop a mission and vision for the organization, identify corporate culture and values, develop a marketing and communications plan to generate awareness of an innovative technology company in rural Nova Scotia, and to generate awareness, develop marketing materials, and a social media platform to attract new customers locally and in the global market.
F5://Refresh Food
Leanne was contracted to help generate awareness and create publicity around the innovative F5://Refresh Food event. Working with the event organizer, Mike Caplan, using traditional and social media, Leanne was able to generate media interest including local Valley newspapers, the Chronicle Herald and Entrevestor.
The event was a 48 hour idea lab where innovation met agriculture, technology, and business. Teams were established based on initial pitches and were challenged to solve current agri-food issues.
Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre
Leanne was contracted by the Acadia Centre for Social Business and Entrepreneurship (ACSBE) and the Acadia Centre for Rural Innovation (ACRI) to develop a marketing and communications plan for each organization. Both organizations had the same stakeholders and audiences, and had the same goals for marketing and communications.
Strathdee&Co. proposed an innovative approach that leveraged the 25th anniversary of ACSBE, to re-brand both organizations under one name, to create efficiencies and streamline processes. She facilitated two consultation sessions, one with staff, and one with key stakeholders, to determine the core values of the organizations and to develop a new identity. Leanne developed a strategic marketing and communications plan, marketing and media materials, and developed and coordinated a launch event for 75+ key stakeholders.
Institute of Public Administration of Canada
The Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) Halifax Chapter hosted the national conference in 2015. Strathdee&Co. was contracted to support the IPAC 2015 National Conference (Halifax) Organizing Committee in identifying the conference themes, strategic position and participant events and activities for the successful management and delivery of the conference.
